Balayage/Ombre:

Both Balayage and Ombre treatments are hair colouring techniques that take highlighting treatments to the next level.

Balayage is a highlighting technique in which a lightening agent is applied by hand. Unlike traditional techniques which utilize foils or a highlighting cap, balayage, which is French for ‘sweep,’ utilizes a brush and a trained stylist who sweeps the colour up from the ends, tapering up toward the roots. Unlike an ombre treatment, not every end will be affected, and so the variation in colour will feature a less drastic, softer look.

Ombre is a colouring technique that focuses on creating short, drastic changes in colour, usually with a lighter shade on the lower half of your hair and a darker one near the roots. Whether you want to feature a natural colour near the roots and a lighter tone near the ends, or even dive in with three (or more) bright colour variations, an ombre treatment will create a more striking look than a balayage treatment.

Each specialty colouring session begins with a consult with a Savile Row Salon colour specialist to determine which colours will work best for you. Once the colour is settled on, your hair is transformed into a waterfall of subtle, natural shades, or a kaleidoscope of bright and striking colours.
